We are looking for Health Care Assistants (HCA) to join our expanding team (as self-employed contractors) based in Thanet, Kent.
Many of our existing team travel to complete blocks of shifts with us, so we provide free hotel accommodation for you while on shift.
Pay rate: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour 12 hour shifts -days 7am to 7pm & nights 7pm to 7am
**Applicants must be willing to register with The Health Practice Associates Council (HPAC)
The Role
As a Health Care Assistant working for IPRS Aeromed you will undertake medical duties ensuring the health and wellbeing of persons in our care.
You will be expected to adhere to JRCALC guidelines and work within the scope of your professional registration, always maintaining clinical objectivity, with the patient’s wellbeing in mind.
What You’ll Be Doing: Measuring and recording baseline observations upon initial contact with the individual and at appropriate intervals thereafter. Producing accurate medical notes primarily to ensure the provision of ongoing care but also for clinical audit purposes.
Ensuring the medical welfare of colleagues in the security team is always maintained.
Alerting the Team Leader in the event of the deterioration of your patient(s).
Support our medication management process, utilizing your comprehensive IT skills and attention for details to ensure a smooth and safe approach is adhered to.
What You’ll Need:
Qualifications & Vaccination Requirements:
· FREC 3 (or equivalent) · Able to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development and BLS/ILS competencies. · Provide proof of your Covid and childhood vaccination status
Experience:
· Minimum 3 years experience (Prehospital or Emergency Department) · Excellent I.T. skills · Ability to speak fluent English · Full driving licence and own reliable transport · Knowledge and understanding of JESIP would be desirable
Pay rate: £14.00 - £17.00 per hour
12 hour shifts - days 7am to 7pm & nights 7pm to 7am If successful, you will be required to provide consent for a DBS check and Home Office security clearance check to be carried out prior to you starting (NB: The application process for this can take up to 12 weeks)
