London College of Contemporary Music (LCCM) is a specialist music school in Central London, that teaches degrees in music performance, music production and music business. Founded by passionate musicians, LCCM offers cutting-edge undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in music.

The Schools and Outreach Officer will be responsible for growing, maintaining and continuing partnerships that build relationships with key schools, colleges, community centres and music education partners to help develop the talent pipeline to LCCM from secondary schools’ colleges and community outreach platforms.
This will involve organizing and delivering a weekly, rolling diary of in person presentations, workshops and Q&A sessions and school and college careers fairs on LCCM, on site at schools, colleges, academies, community centres and also hosted events at LCCM, to the next generation of prospective students, with a particular focus on 15-18 year olds keen on continuing their studies in Music, Audio Production, Artist Development and Music Business. This role will liaise closely with LCCM Marketing over the design and briefing of accompanying audio-visual content and the with LCCM Events Marketing over the creation and management of hosted events at LCCM.
We are looking for a charismatic, energetic and public-facing person with a working understanding of Commercial Music and Higher Education to develop and deliver our Schools and Outreach programme, encourage broader participation and consideration of music at Higher Education, and to encourage and inspire young musicians in all contemporary music styles.
The role will involve significant travel to schools across the capital and the wider UK with the possibility of international travel to deliver workshops and courses in other territories. A successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver LCCM presentations, workshops and engagement in Schools, Colleges, Academies, Community Centres and at LCCM campus
- Develop, grow and maintain a database of Schools, Colleges, Outreach and Community contacts
- Presentation and event management including selection, training and management of additional presentation / workshop participants (students, alumni, tutors)
- Able to direct contemporary musicians to perform and reinterpret songs from the contemporary repertoire and help young musicians create and perform their own music.
- Collate and manage data on leads, schools and colleges targets, leads, events completed.
- Liaising with LCCM marketing and content departments for marketing materials and story generation.
Qualifications: - Music degree – contemporary music or Jazz
Skills & Knowledge: - A proficient contemporary musician, artist, songwriter
- Some understanding of Music Production, DAW
- Some experience with live events, performance
- Some experience in Higher Education
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent self-management, project management
