Overview of Role

You’ll be part of a small, agile team, developing secure, scalable applications. This role offers the opportunity to work across web, desktop, and cloud solutions, with real impact on logistics, distribution, and ecommerce systems that support our business.

We’re looking for an experienced .NET Developer who enjoys working across the stack and collaborating closely with both technical and project management teams. You’ll be hands-on with design, development, and testing, while contributing to the ongoing evolution of our applications and ensuring they remain robust, efficient, and future-ready.

Responsibilities

·Design and develop modern web and desktop applications using .NET technologies

·Build and maintain secure, scalable solutions in Azure

·Contribute to specifications, technical designs, and architecture discussions

·Write automated tests and ensure quality before QA phases

·Participate in peer code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

·Contribute to sprint planning and provide realistic effort estimates

·Provide occasional Level 2 application support

Essential Skills/Experience

·Significant commercial experience (5+ years) in software development

·Strong knowledge of:

oC#, .NET Core / .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework

oModern Angular (2+) for web applications

oAzure services (App Services, Functions, Identity, Key Vault, etc.)

oJavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap

oRESTful Web APIs, JSON, XML, Web Services

oRelational databases (SQL Server preferred)

·Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps

·Source control with Git/TFS (Azure DevOps Repos or equivalent)

·Understanding of secure development practices (OWASP guidelines)

·Solid experience with performance optimisation and monitoring

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Industry knowledge: logistics, distribution, ecommerce, or Infor M3
• Experience with multi-tenant web applications
• Exposure to cloud and infrastructure tools: Bicep, Infrastructure as Code
• Familiarity with Redis or other caching frameworks
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or other messaging frameworks
