Position: Learning Support Manager Location: Remote with occasional travel if required Salary: £38,000 - 42,000

We’re now seeking an inspiring Learning Support Manager to lead our Functional Skills Tutors and Additional Learning Support Coaches, driving quality, innovation, and inclusion across our programmes, and putting the learners at the heart of everything you do.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dynamic education leader to make a real impact on the learning experience and outcomes of apprentices nationwide. As our Learning Support Manager, you’ll take the lead in ensuring that every learner regardless of their starting point has the tools, confidence, and support they need to succeed.
You will champion diversity and inclusion ensuring ever learner feels supported by our expert teams from day one and throughout their journey of success with us, and your work will make a tangible difference helping learners overcome barriers, achieve their qualifications, and progress confidently in their Dental careers.
As our Learning Support Manager you will... . Promote inclusive teaching and learning practices and break down perceived barriers . Ensure that the support network of learners with ALN is aware of how they should be supported in their apprenticeship . Collaborate with stakeholders in the learner’s support network to ensure a joined-up approach throughout the learner’s journey . Drive and increase engagement of learners matched on CognAssist and collate information to provide monthly performance analysis . Ensure compliance with ESFA and Ofsted requirements, particularly around ALS and LSF funding . Recognise and refer learners for further assessments when adjustments are necessary for assessment . Work with Functional Skills Tutors to plan sessions that stretch and challenge, while supporting less able learners . Keep up to date with changes on Bud for modules and levels assigned, continually reviewing progress against specifications . Consult with the quality team and contribute to quality assurance initiatives when required . Provide ongoing support for programmes with delivery of current/new curriculum (including Safeguarding and Prevent topics such as Cyber Safety) in line with external requirements (e.g. Ofsted) . Ensure learners are working in line with their training and support plans across ALS and Functional Skills . Identify and implement innovations in teaching and learning to improve learner outcomes and engagement . Analyse learner progress and achievement data, identifying trends and areas for intervention . Report regularly to senior management on KPIs, achievement rates, and the impact of support strategies . Adhere to GDPR legislation and all internal information and data security policies and procedures . Promote a positive image of Tempdent and embody our values of “Our Heart” in all that you do . Proactively promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people you come into contact with
What we need from you: . Minimum of Level 2 Functional Skills in English, Maths, and ICT . Level 3 Safeguarding qualification . Training qualification e.g., AET, CET, Cert Ed, PGCE, PTTLS or equivalent . Experience of leading a Functional Skills Team, or Additional Learning Support provision in a college, further education, or training environment . Extensive experience of planning sessions for delivery and using own or adapting resources to suit individual needs . Experience of achieving targets and deadlines, with a high level of personal drive to meet challenges in a positive way . Demonstrable experience of working independently, to achieve results without close supervision . Knowledge of Functional Skills in apprenticeship standards and of awarding body requirements for assessments both online and paper based . Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to engage confidently with learners, colleagues, employers, and external agencies . Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change and use own initiative to achieve targets and deadlines . Infectious and transferable energy to motivate and invigorate others . Access to a car or able to travel as needed or commit to overnight stays if required
