Job Title – Delivery Driver (2-person Crew) Location – Dash Express Exeter, Cullompton Depot, EX15 3DA Reports to – Operations Manager Pay - £12.50 per hour Shift pattern – Monday to Friday. 06:30 start time. Up to 11 hours a day. Dash Express is a leading logistics provider in the South-West, committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence. As a Delivery Driver (2-person Crew), you’ll play a vital role in ensuring large goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time, into our customers’ homes, while representing our commitment to excellence and customer service. We provide everything you need to succeed, including a modern fleet, fuel, uniform, and operational support infrastructure.
Main Duties & Responsibilities - As part of a 2-person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service.
- Load and offload large and often heavy goods from vehicles, using appropriate manual handling aids as required.
- Accurately check and scan items out for delivery using a handheld terminal (HHT), reporting any discrepancies to your Line Manager.
- Complete pre-departure vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe to operate and report any problems to you Line Manager.
- Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards, health & safety procedures and road safety laws.
- Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day.
- At the end of day, you will return to depot, unload and label any of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT.
- Attend driver briefings and debriefings with the manager on duty.
- Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day.
What We’re Looking For - A full UK driving licence.
- The physical ability to manually lift and move heavy loads as part of a 2-person lift.
- Previous driving experience.
- Good time keeping and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to provide support to our customers on the phone and in person.
- All of our staff must pass a basic DBS check.
