Position Sales Engineer – Refrigeration, Auckland Branch
Responsible To Business Unit Manager – Refrigeration
Authorised To Incur travel expenditure as required to from time to time in accordance with Company budgets and policies. Offer for sale products and services in accordance with Company pricing and policies.
Assigned Sales Territory
The assigned sales territory for this position covers the Auckland office sales region. It is an essential part of this role for you to undertake regular out of town travel to service customer needs. The position will be based out of our Penrose, Auckland office.
Responsibilities
1. The marketing and customer servicing of the range of the Company’s products and the promotion of all aspects of the Company’s operations within the assigned sales responsibility.
2. Product specialist of allocated product lines (future potential). 3.To provide internal sales and customer support and service. This would involve technical support and providing solutions from the Company’s product range to customers, processing of phone, counter-sales and cash sales orders.
Sales The successful selling of existing and new products and systems in accordance with budgets and Company objectives. Main focus is on the products within the company’s Refrigeration Business Unit.
Servicing The maintenance of regular calls to existing clients and new clients as allocated. Provide technical support and products/solutions that are appropriate for the customer’s application and ascertain customer problems and requirements and ensure that these are resolved to the customer's satisfaction. Use the technical expertise within the company to ensure we always offer a professionally acceptable solution.
Prospecting
Location and establishment of new clients, distributors, and products for Eurotec Ltd. The establishment of additional customers for our products is considered an important part of this role. Search out ‘Market Intelligence’ for upcoming project plans and leads. To maintain up-to-date files and reports on all customers in the Company CRM. Keep yourself up to date with the activities of competition within the marketplace.
Communication Weekly expense reports (if appropriate). Maintain up-to-date files and reports on all customers using the company’s CRM software (ACT!). Market research as requested from time to time.
Training Undertake and complete internal and external trainings as required by the company to ensure necessary competence in all aspects of the role. This also includes on-line training modules developed by suppliers.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales particularly in the HVAC/R field or related industries.
- Excellent technical expertise with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems
- Communication and customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical clients.
- Strong ability in market development and business expansion, with the capability to identify new clients and business opportunities.
- Proficiency in CRM software,
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and self-management abilities, capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to undertake regular out-of-town travel.
